MiFID II is a comprehensive and far-reaching EU regulation that aims to improve the transparency, fairness, and efficiency of financial markets and to enhance investor protection.

The regulations require client facing staff to keep up to date on the marketplace, the latest product offerings and key client issues or concerns.  In 2022 understanding of ESG was added by the Regulator to the MiFID II knowledge requirement for client facing staff.
